The Women Mean Business project recognises the enormous contribution that women can make, both to the UK economy and to their own personal achievement.

We also recognise the barriers faced by women when they are considering self employment, and our flexible, women friendly service is designed to help the women of East Lancashire overcome those barriers and go on to start their own successful businesses.

Our aim is not only to encourage women to consider self employment as a real option, but also to assist them to start up their own businesses and guide them through the early years and then to go on to grow their businesses.
